Irene NdegwaIrene joined DWM with a background in impact investing, agricultural finance and product development.

She previously worked in the investments team at Bamboo Capital Partners, an impact investing firm, where she contributed to the financial analysis, due diligence, market research, and investment memo preparation for the company's borrowers that included micro-finance institutions and SMEs. She later joined Supivaa Advisory Group, an impact and gender-lens investing advisory firm, where she supported client fundraising by conducting investor research and market/sector-specific research. Most recently, Irene served as a Fellow in the Product team at Aceli Africa, where she was involved in the management of financial incentive programs designed to mobilize private-sector lending towards underserved agricultural SMEs.

Irene holds a Bachelor of Science in actuarial science from Kenyatta University, and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Financial Engineering at WorldQuant University. She holds an Intermediate Certificate in Data Science from Strathmore University. Irene is fluent in English and Kiswahili and has a foundational level of French.
